After the demise of the Tokaj state company in 1998, there were vast vineyards, technology and a wonderful cellar in Mala Trna (National monument) left unused. This challenge was picked up by Galafruit Ltd., which bought the remains of the state company and continued the wine production. In 2007 Tokaj&CO, the wine division, has split and this is where we started to write our own story in the very heart of Tokaj wine growing region in Slovakia. The main protagonists in that story are the same since the state company – Ing. Milan Kakaš, our head winemaker and Mrs. Zuzana Čorbová, our cellar master. Both acclaimed personalities of the Slovak „wine“ world. Together they transform the unique potential of the region into the most valuable wine jewels.
